COMBINED ESTROGENOLIPOSOMAL THERAPY IN COMPLEX TREATMENT OF PYOINFLAMMATORY SOFT TISSUE LESIONS IN ELDERLY AND SENILE PATIENTS

Abstract

Introduction. Wound healing in the elderly and senile is slower than in the young, one explanation for this is a decrease in estrogen levels and poor functioning of cells involved in various phases of the wound process.

The purpose of work: to improve the results of treatment of inflammatory-purulent soft tissue lesions in elderly and senile patients by using combined estrogen liposomal therapy as combination treatment.

Materials and methods. Experimental studies and clinical observations with the use of estrogens and liposomes in the complex treatment have been performed. Wound healing was controlled using biochemical, cytological, pathomorphological, microbiological, planimetric research methods.

Results and discussion. In groups of animals treated with estrogens and liposomes, there was a statistically significant increase in the level of DNA, RNA, RNA/DNA index, oxyproline, fibroblasts, macrophages, phagocytic activity, decrease in neutrophilic granulocytes and their destructive forms, destructive forms, wound contraction, granulation tissue formation and wound healing compared with the control group. In patients receiving combination estrogenoliposomal therapy in combination treatment, there was a statistically significant decrease in the wound area of testosterone, neutrophilic granulocytes and their destructive forms, microbial contamination, increased levels of estrogen, estradiol, fastocrotabar instastonate acceleration of wound contraction and wound healing.

Conclusions. The use of the proposed method of treatment leads to increased biosynthetic activity of cells, reparative processes and collagen synthesis in the wound, acceleration of wound contraction, formation of granulation tissue and microbial decontamination of purulent wounds, reducing the length of hospital stay.
